SJIC Meet-up with the Founders and Creators of Poland’s most unique Innovation Ecosystem

St John’s Innovation Centre welcomes representatives of Kreatywne Mazowsze, a Polish Foundation promoting and accelerating innovative growth in the Masovian Voivodeship.

On 2nd December, St John’s Innovation Centre welcomed the representatives of Kreatywne Mazowsze, a Polish Foundation promoting and accelerating innovative growth in the Masovian Voivodeship who were roadmapping Cambridge tech cluster and have just started a partnership with the Institute for Manufacturing, University of Cambridge.

With Warsaw being named one of the ten top cities around the world to launch a start-up and attracting tech giants such as Google, it was really interesting to find out more about this success from the founders and creators of the Foundation, currently developing Kampus+, a unique-on-a-national-scale innovation ecosystem in Poland.

David Gill, Managing Director at St John’s Innovation Centre met with Dr Tomasz Szejner from the Institute for Manufacturing, University of Cambridge, Łukasz Madej, President of the Management Board, Pro-Development & Campus+, Łukasz Sztern, Director of Kreatywne Mazowsze, Mateusz Rogalski and Joanna Ornoch, Project Coordinators at Kreatywne Mazowsze to give a brief overview of the centre, its start-up culture and the dynamic and supportive incubation environment that plays a pivotal role in the heart of the Greater Cambridge technology cluster.

During the tour around the centre, we learnt more about Kampus+ which is developed in cooperation with the leading technical university in Poland. The project, combining mechanisms to support modern education and acceleration processes, will support the Warsaw University of Technology and partners in active development based on innovation and facilitate collaboration between academia and business. We also found out that the next big step for Kreatywne Mazowsze is a series of workshops featuring experts from the Institute for Manufacturing, University of Cambridge that will take place in January 2016.

We look forward to hearing more stories on innovation from Kreatywne Mazowsze and Kampus+!

Good luck! Powodzenia!
