A new role at Cambridge Kinetics, we are seeking a full-time Head of Service Delivery to join our team. The role is a pivotal leadership role at Cambridge Kinetics, helping us to get our new product (Kinabase) to customers and new markets – pushing forwards our mission to help businesses optimise internal systems and processes, and ultimately empower people to focus on what actually matters.

This role is of strategic importance to Cambridge Kinetics and involves owning our customer-facing operations, working closely with our Managing Director. Initially this includes demonstrating our product to potential leads, onboarding new clients, managing client projects, and with our growth leading to the management of a team to deliver these services. You will also be continuously reviewing and improving our internal operations.

Your responsibilities will include:

Business Development

  • Working with the leadership team, develop and execute sales strategies for Kinabase within different markets, including creative industries, manufacturing, charities, consulting services and other well-suited markets.
  • Oversee and drive the sales pipeline from lead identification to deal closure, ensuring steady opportunities and timely progression.
  • Create and deliver engaging product demos that showcase the value proposition of Kinabase as it relates to the potential customer.
  • Work closely with the Managing Director to develop and refine the sales strategy.
  • Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and networking opportunities.
  • Conduct market research to identify new markets for business growth. Monitor the functionality of Kinabase as it achieves barriers to entry for new opportunities.
  • Develop our reseller and partnerships strategy, enabling us to reach new SMEs at scale.

Continuous improvement and process operations

  • Identify, evaluate and implement process improvements to streamline workflows across departments and increase productivity.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement by encouraging feedback from employees, customers and stakeholders.
  • Own processes within the Cambridge Kinetics quality management system and assist with maintaining certifications (ISO 9001 / ISO 27001).
  • Improve our customer onboarding and customer support processes.
  • Set and monitor realistic and achievable targets for our team, ensuring we meet customer expectations.

Leadership, team building, training and development

  • Guide and inspire a high-performing team through effective coaching, mentoring and goal setting to achieve ambitious targets.
  • Cultivate a positive team culture and maintaining a supportive work environment.
  • Conduct performance reviews, provide constructive feedback, and identify upskilling opportunities within the team.
  • Develop training programs to keep employees updated on processes and consistent across organisations.

Collaboration and Communication

  • Cultivate strong relationships with clients, guaranteeing high levels of customer satisfaction.
  • Work closely with the software development and support teams to ensure cohesive messaging and brand consistency.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to refining communications and messaging towards new and existing clients, writing content at times.
  • Monitor content creation for the Kinabase website, YouTube channel, LinkedIn company profile, and customer support documentation, and ensure these align with the service delivery strategy.
  • Effectively and professionally communicate to our customers, team members and stakeholders through written, virtual and in-person means.

This role reports directly to the Managing Director.

You should have experience with business development and sales, with a strong ability to communicate complex ideas with clarity.

You should be willing to try out new ideas, help with all aspects of the business, and enjoy getting stuck in and solving problems. We are a lean and nimble team, and we have a culture of moving fast and getting things done. You will be expected to drive positive change across our client’s organisations and our internal processes, bringing people with you.

You should have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field (for example, business management, manufacturing, marketing or computer science).
  • Experience in leading end to end sales cycles and balancing customer expectations with realistic software development timelines.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and make data-driven decisions.
  • Creativity and the ability to think outside the box.
  • Working knowledge of and passion for business processes and relevant business software.
  • Familiarity with CRM systems, features, and terminology, to communicate (sometimes complex) technical concepts clearly and concisely.
  • Experience in digital transformation and rolling out new IT systems across businesses.
  • Experience with standards such as ISO 9001.
  • Experience leading and developing teams.

There is certainly no typical client and those involved in the company can look forward to involvement in a wide range of industries -- covering everything from agriculture, to charities, to construction.


We have offices in St John's Innovation Centre and you will be required to be in the office three days a week. You may also need to travel to customer sites and other events.

Interview Process

Our interview process is straightforward and is designed to help us get to know each other. We will start with an initial phone call to discuss the role and your experience, followed by a one hour face-to-face or online interview with the team.
