Are you looking to explore new ways to build commercial partnerships with large businesses? We are working in partnership with Centre for Business Innovation and their members to give researchers and research rich companies the opportunity to meet with global corporates relevant to your product or service.
This is a unique opportunity to build partnerships and develop co-venturing opportunities with large commercial organisations and global industry experts.
Please note: There are up to 20 places available at this meet up. It is a competitive process and you will be required to submit a brief application to understand what benefit this opportunity will deliver for you.

Centre for Business Innovation Limited (CfBI) creates collaborative communities with world class companies, research institutes and government agencies from all over Europe and USA.
The CfBi will invite members from their network interested in meeting researchers and early stage companies to attend the event. Members are global companies from a wide variety of sectors looking to develop open innovation or procurement opportunities.

IMPORTANT: All successful applicants are required to take part in a hands-on Co-Venturing Meet Up Prep Session on Monday, 24th June 2019 at St John’s Innovation Centre (15:00 kick off with networking over refreshments).
All companies who have registered their interest will receive an application form from our team member, Tom Graver at tgraver@stjohns.co.uk ,to fill it in and return by Friday, 14 June 2019.
This is a competitive process and companies will be assessed for their suitability. We will notify you whether your place has been confirmed on Monday,17th June 2019.
About MERLIN project
MERLIN (Methodologies for Researcher Led Innovations) will support market-oriented researchers, SMEs and start-ups across Europe, to consider the full potential of their research and to shape ideas and outputs into innovations to be ready for market validation and commercialisation, by using modern needs-first, market-led methodologies.
MERLIN offers a range of dynamic workshops and relevant training to guide researchers and businesses on the journey to commercialisation. The programme, consisting on 8 workshops, will equip participants with knowledge, skills and network to generate market-led business models to unlock potential and accelerate this journey. MERLIN will organize 2 meetups with potential partners, customers and investors by the end of each year, to help participants grow. Moreover, selected participants will be invited to participate in Startup Europe events.
MERLIN has been funded in the context of the Innovation Radar inititative of the European Commission, under the Digital Single Market strategy.
