What’s On at St John’s Innovation Centre this June
At St John’s Innovation Centre, June marks the start of a busy and engaging period across the park, with a strong focus on visibility, collaboration, and supporting our tenant community as we move into the summer months.
With Cambridge Wide Open Day taking place on 17 June, we will be opening our doors to the wider Cambridge community. This flagship moment in the calendar creates an opportunity to showcase the innovation happening across SJIC, while strengthening connections across the region’s technology and business ecosystem.
Alongside this, a programme of activity throughout the month brings together hands-on testing, expert-led sessions, and cross-network opportunities designed to help our tenants engage with new ideas, gain practical insight, and build valuable connections.
Innovative Collaboration
We are pleased to be working in collaboration with the Centre for Computing History, bringing Cambridge’s computing heritage into closer connection with the innovation happening across SJIC.
As part of this, we are also partnering with Cambridge Online, a local digital inclusion charity supporting communities across Cambridgeshire to access technology and build essential digital skills.
These partnerships reflect SJIC’s commitment to connecting innovation with impact—linking past breakthroughs with emerging technologies, while encouraging important conversations around sustainability, accessibility, and the future of innovation.
This collaboration will be visible during Cambridge Wide Open Day through a museum-style exhibition in the mezzanine, with further activity planned over time.
