Daniel joined St John’s Innovation Centre in Jan 2021, after running his own technology Innovation Management and commercialisation consultancy for 5 years. He is an experienced deep-tech innovation management and commercialisation coach, mentor and consultant.

As a Senior Innovation and Growth Specialist for Innovate UK Business Growth, he leverages four decades of experience in the tech sector to provide practical strategic advice, coaching and mentoring to technology start-ups and SMEs, universities and innovation programmes, around innovation, operations, technology development, marketing, access to finance and funding strategies.

Daniel has many years of experience in the high-tech sector, around the electronics, digital health, communications systems, automotive and Agri-tech sectors. He is also a renowned expert in UK and EU grant funding and has helped many companies secure many £millions in R&D grants over the last 15 years.

As SJIC’s lead on Agri-tech and Agrifoods, Daniel has been closely involved with the East of England Agri-tech and Agrifoods Launchpad initiative and has had increasing engagement with companies originating from UEA, NRP and surrounding areas.

When Daniel is not supporting innovation-led businesses at work, he is a competition-winning dancer – (Modern Jive, Silc, Blues & expressive and ballroom). He also rides a Triumph Tiger 1200 motorcycle and typically travels to the continent each year with friends.
