St John’s Innovation Centre is delighted to welcome Dr Anna Mieczakowski as a guest speaker to the third event in a series of interactive business workshops aimed at researchers, start-ups and SMEs who want to take their ideas to market.
Customer Discovery is a third fully funded workshop delivered under the MERLIN (Methodologies for Researcher Led Innovations) programme designed to help ICT (Information and Communication Technologies) post-docs and early-stage founders across Europe to realise the full potential and impact of their research and ideas and support them with market validation and commercialisation.
“MERLIN is a comprehensive programme of thematic workshops, webinars and meet-ups for early-stage founders taking their research-based products and solutions to market,” said Kirsten Masson, Head of Programmes and Development at St John’s Innovation Centre and one of the MERLIN’s coordinators for Europe. “We’re delighted to welcome Anna to our next workshop. It’s a great opportunity for our MERLIN cohort of post-docs and start-ups developing their first products and solutions to tap into Anna’s academic background, vast user-centred design knowledge and entrepreneurial experience.”
Dr Anna Mieczakowski is a researcher and strategist assisting companies in successfully defining their customer bases, product development activities and internal business processes to set strategy for new and existing products and services. She holds a PhD in user-centred design from the University of Cambridge and has a background in User Experience (UX) consulting, management consulting and organisational operations. Her user-centred design work has been published in public reports and articles in leading international journals, books and conferences, as well as being disseminated in design exhibitions for both public and business benefit. In 2012, Anna founded Ameliot to help organisations build better products, services and experiences that best meet customers’ needs and enhance business performance.
