WOMEN4TECHNOLOGY

Women4Technology is a UK-wide, high-impact leadership forum for senior women in technology, including founders, executives, investors, and supporters. It exists to connect, empower and elevate women working in the technology sector through strategic networking, thought leadership and bespoke development opportunities.

Women4Technology aims to:

  • Increase VC funding into female-led businesses
  • Increase the number of women around the boardroom table

Founded in 2008, Women4Technology has over 2,500 members and welcomes CEOs, CXOs, Founders, Chair/NEDs, VPs and investors to events in Cambridge, London and Manchester.

Women4Technology champions inclusive innovation, and is inclusive of non-binary participants and male supporters.

THE CHALLENGE

Gender inequality persists in technology leadership, at considerable cost to society and the economy:

The Alison Rose Review of Female Entrepreneurship found that if women started and scaled businesses at the same rate as men, it could add up to £250 billion to the UK economy.

Our Approach

Women4Technology provides a holistic approach to tackling the challenges faced by senior women in technology through the following pillars:

Fair access to capital

Ecosystem building

Inclusive innovation leadership

MENTORING

Our mentoring programme connects senior women in technology, as well as women at earlier stages of their careers, with experienced leaders, investors and innovators who understand the specific challenges of scaling in high-growth sectors.

Research shows that women with access to strong mentors are more likely to pursue a career in technology and to progress to leadership roles and secure funding. Women4Technology’s mentoring programmes facilitate purposeful mentoring relationships that unlock personal development and accelerate business growth.
